Capacity Building ToT for Sabha Youth in Life Skills and Peace Building

This project, "Empowering youth from fragmented and conflict-prone communities in south Libya for peace," funded by the Government of Japan (GoJ), aimed to contribute to wider efforts in Sabha and the south of Libya to build upon peacebuilding and stabilization actions. Under this initiative, TEAM for Training and Development conducted the "Training of Trainers for Sabha Youth" project with its two modules, Life Skills, and ToT. Participants engaged in a two-week intensive course covering facilitation, life skills, and peacebuilding, and after the TOT, they were guided in practicing their newly acquired skills and increased knowledge with peers in cascade sessions.

TEAM collaborated on social media visibility, logistics and coordination, trainer, and facilitator services, and, after the TOT was completed, support for the new trainers to hold local sessions in Sabha with additional groups of interested youth.

The training was delivered in 12 days: 4 days for project management, 2 days for financial management, 2 days for proposal writing, 1 day for report writing, 1 day for advocacy, communication, and operational safety, and 2 days for TOT. Within those 12 days, the participants engaged in interactive learning activities, exchanged a lot of their experiences with each other, and demonstrated good understanding of the content.
